WIL - more concept art
Sharing with you guys today the character sketches I made for “Where is the Light?”.
I eventually changed the wardrobe of the girls (Just slightly). I mentioned before that the first drafts were about the children getting lost in the forest. Because of the change wherein they already go on an outdoor adventure, I had to give the girls pants.
When I work on character designs, I actually try to focus more on emotions and how the characters would possibly act. I try not to think too much about the technical part of character design. I don’t really do turnarounds (where you will see the front, side, back of the character). Since my main objective is to tell stories, I focus more on the acting of the characters.
Book Launch Update
The truth is, I have no update. We have yet to hear from the marketing team regarding the updated plans for the campaign. They needed more time for planning so I cannot share any new details regarding this. But the target is to launch some time in August.
Just to let you guys know, everyone who is part of the planning of this campaign is a volunteer. We are all working to try and make this a successful campaign. My personal goal for all of this is to be able to share this story with as many people as possible. I will continue to update you as we move forward.
Other Projects
I have announced that I am working on a sci-fi comic. Progress has been slow but it is moving. I am still writing the outline of the story. Writing is quite a challenge for me but I am quite enjoying it.
Aside from the sci-fi comic, I am also working on another children’s book. I am not ready to share any details yet regarding this but I can say that I have had this project in mind for a while now. I am hoping to go through the more traditional publishing route for this book. Hopefully, I am able to find a publisher.
A Little Treat
I am sharing with you guys now the full cover spread that I did for WIL.
I am really happy with how this spread came out. I plan on selling the original artwork of this once we launch. If any of you are already interested in purchasing some original art from WIL, please do not hesitate to message me.
Thanks for reading. Keep walking!
